A LOVE FOR THE KITCHEN

About the Owner //

I’m Cathie Groesbeck, owner of The Gifted Kitchen, and the tall, middle-aged dreamer pictured. I still can’t believe The Gifted Kitchen is a real place and I get to come here and create for fine folks like you every day. I’m extremely proud, incredibly humbled, and over the moon excited about this thrilling venture!

Yes, I am a professionally trained chef, with degrees in Culinary Arts & Food Service Management, but more than that, I consider myself a down-to-earth, enthusiastic, and accomplished cook who has managed to turn a passion for cooking, good food, and people into a business that feels like home when walking in the door!

My love for the kitchen came early on from my amazing grandmother who taught me the art of entertaining and setting beautiful tables. For years, I dreamed of going to culinary school, and then, at the age of 40, my dream was realized when I enrolled in culinary classes full-time. I graduated three years later at the top of my class! With both degrees in hand, my career path took me to a college campus grill, high-end catering operation, gourmet spice shop, neighborhood coffee shop, and school café. While gaining valuable experience in these areas, I continued to pursue my culinary interests by cooking for personal chef clients, teaching a variety of cooking classes, planning numerous events, and catering several receptions and small private functions. In 2014, I followed an intense heart-felt prompting by branching out on my own and launching The Gifted Kitchen. The rest, they say, is history!

There’s an awesome team of us here at The Gifted Kitchen – all dedicated to welcoming members of our community into this home we’re working hard to create. We can’t wait to have you join us in our kitchen, experience that happy, ‘lucky me!’ feeling, and honestly tell us we’re on the right track!
