Christmas is such a great time for baking and sharing your creations with others. Come learn the fun art of cookie decorating with royal icing and you’ll have a lot to share! The cookies will include an adorable gingerbread boy, gingerbread girl, gingerbread house, candy cane bordered heart and a wrapped piece of candy. Please note: even though the theme is "gingerbread", the sugar cookies we decorate will be a classic vanilla-almond flavor, not actual gingerbread. No experience necessary. The class is taught by Lisa Yakovich, a local cookier with over ten years of experience. She will answer any questions you have and offer tips and tricks along the way. You will learn the basics of decorating with royal icing, including icing consistencies, piping, flooding and wet-on-wet technique. Everything you need will be provided: five large sugar cookies (lots of extras available), royal icing, decorations, tools, examples to see and taste, printed recipes and cute white bakery boxes to take your yummy creations home in.
