Meals in 15 Minutes or Less: German-Inspired
Saturday, April 1, 2023 12 pm - 2:00 pm Ages 18 and up You're in for a real treat with this cooking class taught by Josefa "Josie" Wells! Frikadellen is a German-inspired dish, also very popular in Alsace Lorraine, France. Josie grew up close to the French border and noticed this different kind of burger was very popular in France as well as in Germany. The original French name is "fricandel." For this class, it will be served with sauteed mushrooms & colorful sweet peppers along with either steamed potatoes or "spatzle," a German-type pasta. Slow cooked tri-color carrots prepared in olive oil is another delicious option. A taste of kombucha, a fermented drink, known to aid digestion, will also be served. For dessert, you'll enjoy chocolate or vanilla wafers made in Germany. Guten appetit! Please Note: The class fee is per person.
