Saturday, March 18, 2023 12 pm - 2:00 pm Ages 18 and up Looking for a quick & easy lunch or dinner, made in 15 minutes or less, with a lot of great taste? This one's for you! Join Josefa "Josie" Wells in our kitchen for this Italian-inspired cooking class where you'll start with semolina pasta, sautéed in olive oil & garlic, plus flash-cooked spinach and/or broccoli. Garnish it with fresh grape tomatoes & olives then finish with some fresh grated Parmesan cheese. Fantastico! A tasty caprese appetizer with olive oil & fresh basil will make a great starter while waiting for the pasta to cook. All made in 15 minutes or less! No need to idle anymore going thru another drive thru! A sparking pellegrino drink will be offered as well as a selection of chocolate quadratini wafers for dessert. Come & enjoy! Saturday, February 11, 2023 3 pm - 5:30 pm Ages 18 and up This time around Josefa "Josie" Wells shares with you a Mexican inspired meal "Caldo de Pollo" consisting of delicious chicken & steamed veggies such as celery, carrots & squash prepared in a slightly spicy broth then topped with fresh cilantro & green onions. Served with corn tortillas or a special artisan bread, this meal is so simple, yet so satisfying! Josie was inspired to teach cooking classes when she saw "people idling in their cars at fast food chains for longer that it takes to prepare a delicious meal at home in 15 minutes or less with healthier benefits." It's freshly made everyday in the "Mercado". Students are in for a treat with this wonderful lightly spicy chicken broth consisting of seasonal veggies, colorful sweet peppers, topped with fresh cilantro & lemon, and served with Artisan bread or tortillas. Everyone will have a taste of Kombucha, a fermented drink that aids in digestion, and enjoy dulce de leche for dessert. This creamy & delicious homemade vanilla or chocolate pudding is the perfect way top off the meal. Buen provecho! Please Note: The class fee is per person. -

This tasty dish is served over basmati rice and finished with fresh basil leaves. A refreshing fermented drink will also be served to aid in digestion. Mediterranean Middle-East Masterpieces
Friday September 23 6 pm to 9 pm. Let us take you on a journey from Greece to Egypt. In teams of two, you will learn how to make 3 classics: Tzatziki, Hummus, and Falafel. All of which are perfect healthy options for your game-day cravings this football season, and we’ll provide some fun inspiration for the foods as well (Falafel burgers, yum!). As a bonus, we will also sail from Egypt to the Strait of Gibraltar, sending you home with a recipe for a Moroccan twist on India’s butter chicken. If you wish to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy, we suggest a fresh white such as Zinfandel, Sauv Blanc, or a fruity Pinot Gris; for red lovers a Grenache or Sangiovese; a dry Rose would also be wonderful!
